Solar Research & Development
Partnering with world-class universities around the world, Silicon Solar’s design team utilizes both IST and external research and development facilities to test the latest technologies in renewable energy. Conducting both exploratory research on new manufacturing techniques and solar cell technology, Silicon Solar continues to develop its research & development division for new enlightening experiences.
Silicon Solar is currently working with leading universities on a number of incredible projects that will have ground-breaking impacts on the solar energy market. Through our on-going partnership with Cornell University we are consistently providing breakthroughs in the in the design, manufacturing and installation of SunMaxx Solar Hot Water Heaters.
Our recent partnership with Binghamton University is providing invaluable information regarding thin-film solar panel technology, and the incredible potential that this once-overlooked technology has for making solar energy more efficient, more cost-effective and more affordable for everyone.
Silicon Solar is also working with TSEC, The Solar Energy Consortium, on a number of projects, including the development of highly-efficient and cost-effective solar thermal controllers for our SunMaxx Solar Hot Water Systems, and exploring the possibilities of developing a New York based manufacturing facility for many of our leading solar thermal and solar PV products.
