Make Energy Efficient Improvements to Your Home

Assisted Home Performance brings a whole-house building performance approach to rn energy efficiency improvements. The objective of the program is to reduce energy rn costs of low- and moderate-income households by providing affordable energy efficiency rn improvements. The program will cover up to 50% of the costs associated with the rn energy-efficiency improvements, up to a maximum of $5,000 per household or $10,000 rn for a 2 – 4 family building. Find out more.

Use approximately 30% less energy than conventionally built homes by building a rn New York ENERGY STAR Labeled Home. rn Receive a $500 cash incentive if your household income is less than or equal to these rn guidelines. EmPower New YorkSM provides cost-effective electric rn reduction measures, particularly lighting and refrigerator replacements, as well as rn other cost-effective home performance strategies such as insulation, and health and rn safety measures. Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)

HEAP is a federally funded program administered by the New York State Office of rn Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) that provides financial assistance to rn eligible households to help pay for their home heating costs.
rn
It is structured in such a way that higher benefits are provided to those households rn that:
rn
- rn
- Spend a large portion of their income on energy bills;
- Have a child or children under age 8, adults over 60, or disabled individuals living in the house;
- Have the lowest income; or
- Run out of heating fuel.

To be eligible, a household must meet income guidelines; rn currently 60% of the State Median Income or below, and either pay directly for rn heating costs or pay rent that includes heating costs. Individual applicants must be rn U.S. citizens or qualified aliens.
