Should I use a charge controller for my solar charging application?

--We recommend using a charge controller for any application involving a solar panel recharging a battery (and gridtie applications also). This will regulate voltage down to a proper charging media ( a solar panel always produces voltage over the nominal voltage of the battery), ensures that battery discharge does not take place when the panel is not producing power, and prevents overcharge of the battery.

**Any garden light that you buy from us has a charge regulation circuit in it that is designed for that light so discharge and overcharge will not take place. This applys to all of our light product line.
