Because many of Silicon Solar's clients, suppliers and partners are interested in promoting their ties with Silicon Solar, we have developed the following guidelines to provide some insight into our policies regarding co-promotion and the reasons behind them. Separate guidelines exist for Silicon Solar's advertising and search partners relating to implementation of Silicon Solar branding on their sites. Those guidelines are available from your Silicon Solar account representative.

Press Releases

Silicon Solar is very conservative regarding the use of press releases and does not issue releases to announce new partnerships. An occasional exception may be made when an announcement illustrates a major shift in Silicon Solar's market position or strategy.

Silicon Solar requires that any partner wishing to issue a press release that refers to Silicon Solar get prior approval in writing from Silicon Solar's public relations department. Especially with key suppliers, Silicon Solar prefers not to announce relationships that might provide useful information to competitors.

Partner Marketing Materials

As with press releases, Silicon Solar is reluctant to provide useful information to competitors by broadcasting the fact that we have found a great partner. We know it's selfish, but we want to keep you to ourselves. Therefore, any inclusion of Silicon Solar in partner marketing materials must be approved in advance in writing by Silicon Solar's marketing department. This includes online and offline advertising and collateral, such as:

• Case studies
• Client and referral lists
• Sales presentations
• Print, broadcast, outdoor or online ads
• Product demos
• Signage
• Trade show booths
