Frequently Asked Questions
Check out our great FAQs and Answers for our Solar Christmas Lights below:
1) Do I need to turn on my solar holiday lights each night or will they turn on automatically?
Silicon Solar’s PatioPal series Christmas Lights charge during the day and automatically turn on at dusk. Simply place the panel in a location that receives direct sunlight during the day and your solar charging unit does the rest of the work. Say goodbye to running unsightly cords to your holiday lights, as well as to the additional electricity bill decorative lights can rack up during the holidays.
2) For how long do Silicon Solar’s holiday light remain on each night?
Although Silicon Solar carries a variety of different solar Christmas lights (colored, white, icicle, and net lights), each product contains the appropriate panel and circuitry so that they remain illuminated for 5-6 hours each evening.

Please Note: before using your solar Christmas lights, perform an initial charge in the ON position for a minimum of 8 hours in full direct sun for optimal product performance and battery longevity. Turn the product ON during the first day of charging, turn it back OFF at dusk on the first night to maintain the charge, and turn it back to ON the second morning. After a full initial charge, your lights will shine more brightly and last longer each night.
