1) How long will PathLight commercial solar lights remain illuminated each night?
Time length of night time illumination is subject to various factors including the size of the panel and battery pack selected, geographic location, seasons, temperature, and weather conditions. 2) How do PathLight commercial solar lights work?
Silicon Solar’s commercial solar lights function very much like other solar lights, but one a much greater scale. Solar panels convert the sun’s energy to electricity which charges a battery bank during the daylight hours. At night, the charged battery illuminates the high efficiency LED light fixture casting light on your parking lot, street, driveway, garage, dock, or area otherwise in need of illumination. A photosensor automatically turns the light on at nightfall, and turns the light off at dawn to allow the battery to charge.
3) Do PathLight street lights require much maintenance?
No. There are no moving parts and the entire system is automated. Hence, once you install your PathLight system, there is very little maintenance, so sit back and enjoy. It is important to keep you solar panel free of shade and debris, but this only requires very infrequent cleaning. Batteries also much be replaced, but only once every several years.
