The state-of-the-art lead-acid battery is the valve-regulated type (sometimes called "sealed" or maintenance-free), which fixes the acid electrolyte in a gel or in an absorptive fiberglass mat. The advantage of this design is that the battery needs no water additions, can be operated in any position, and can be used in close proximity to people and sensitive equipment
Several of our portable power systems utilize these sealed lead acid batteries by storing power from the solar panel directly into the battery. In most cases the battery is then used as a direct power source for solar components such as inverters, controllers and switches to operate the application as needed by user.
The small, light weight battery systems allow applications such as wireless camera systems, laptops, and surveilance videos to operate at remote locations. Each battery can range from a small 1.2 Amp hour battery to a large 22 amp hour battery.
