This grid tie Bergey Excel S 10kw wind turbine is the most popular and reliable grid connect unit in the world. The BWC EXCEL was introduced in 1983 and it has been installed at over 900 sites around the world. The BWC Excel is a ruggedly built turbine which comes with a 5 year warranty, the longest warranty in the industry. The 22 ft pultruded fiberglass propeller and 38 pole very low speed permanent magnet alternator will provide energy for decades.

Silicon Solar's Wind Team maintains Bergey turbines installed over 20 years ago, which have been producing power at 100% capacity with 100% powerhead availability since 1983. The Bergey Excel S is also a quiet performer, with one of the lowest sound signatures in the industry. The Excel S comes with an Enhanced Corrosion Protection System at no extra charge. All steel components are hot dip galvanized, zinc plated or made of stainless steel.

Fiberglass-reinforced plastic components (such as the nacelle, nosecone and blades) carry super duty 2 part acrylic paint over special UV resistant resins and scrim cloth barriers. All finish work and packaging is highly refined and is of superb quality. The Excel S weighs in at around 1200 lbs and it can be installed in one piece via crane or tip up tower. The turbine can also be broken down into several smaller pieces for gin pole erection by an experienced team.
