TruPower-DC-Cabin-220W Solar Power Kit
Solar cabin kits are ideal for vacation homes or remote buildings that are too far away from power lines or too cost prohibitive to have one put in. They are also ideal for those who already use remote power sources such as batteries or generators but have to perform the tedious task of either transporting batteries back and forth from a means to charge them or having to consistently restart their generator not to mention refuel it to get power. Our cabin kits make life simpler by providing the benefit of electrical power to remote locations without ugly modernism corrupting the view or sound of nature at its best! Solar energy is clean quiet and very low maintenance making it a number one source of power within nature. Our DC cabin kits can be used for those locations who have already converted over to DC appliances that utilize a battery to obtain their power while our AC cabin kits are sized with an inverter/charger for those who are already using a generator as a primary power source. Our AC cabin kits can be used in conjunction with your generator making the solar system your primary source of power and the generator as the secondary back up cutting down the cost to run it the task of starting it and eliminating the constant noise of a generator running. In fact even if your generator is self-starting it’s fully compatible with our AC cabin kits and will only start if your batteries become to drained at which point the generator will power your appliances and recharge your batteries then shut off after the batteries become fully charged.
Our solar cabin kits are made with UL listed and NEC compliant components. Our kits are fairly easy to install and can be done in one day but Silicon Solar recommends that an electrician or solar installer is on site or at least verifies that the installation was done correctly before it is connected to any power distribution center. These kits include all the major components for the install such as the solar panels combiner box charge controller disconnects lighting arrestors batteries battery box battery interconnects ground/roof tilt mounting and if it’s an AC cabin kit it also comes with and inverter and e-panel. All kits also
include panel to combiner wiring but all other wiring must be provided by the installer.
Note: This kit in particular is made strictly for DC voltage applications that do not require inverters to provide AC power.
